Default 4l80e dipstick and tube

Hey guys
I did a 4l80e swap in my truck and used an 05 2500 gas/80e dipstick tube. Going by what proper spec should be. Full Mark's warm should be 1/4" above pan rail. When I put the dipstick in with the pan off. It's no where near that. It's way below. Should I go with the way it's designed and go with the full Mark's on the stick? Is anyone elses like that thats used an 05 tube and dipstick?

Make your own mark, that’s what I did.

Scribe a new mark. Even with the pan rail up to 1/4" above is correct

Something going on with the new tube from gm. Got a tube out of an 05 at the local yard and fits perfect
