4l80e conversion question

2 Attachment(s)
Hey guys I'm finally getting around to putting my 4l80e trans in my 2002 silverado with a 5.3l in it along with a turbo.

Anyway the trans is a 4l80e with a jake 3d trans brake. I have a custom crossmember, 4l80e torque converter and flex plate with spacer. and a frost wiring harness

My questions are about the yolk and the wiring end. Obviously the main connector is plug and and play. But what about the speed sensors? Do i need to use both of them or can I just use the rear sensor.

I'm also including a picture of the harness conversion I have with questions on what these two black plastic plugs are for?

And to my final question what yolk and conversion u joint do I need?

Yes you have to use both sensors and if u your stock u joints are a 3r series then u can get a neapco N3R-3-9101X slip yoke that will work with the same u joint as u have u might have to cut the slip yoke to make it work.

I just asked the guy I bought the harness off of and he told me that the frost harness is wired to trick the truck into thinking it still has the 4l60 installed. and he told me you only have to use the rear sensor... this whole thing has me confused lol

You can't use the front speed sensor with the frost harness.
