I have the NP 246 Autotrac... the shaft I got from the yard was the same length as my stocker, just thinner.

sounds like you found a dmax one

needs to have that PN i listed earlier

Check this out for some info. Measure your stock shaft and add 1 3/4" to it. Keep in mind you have some room to work either way. Post up your measurement.

Couldnt find the dshaft that my buddy had laying around.

so this is a dmax but it has the part number thats listed. Confused on what will actually work as it was said before a dmax one didnt work.

My front shaft is from a 2007 classic DURAMAX .

Thats odd, cause when i vin checked one that came from a duramax from KYsilverados thread that was like 1.5-2" to short was from a duramax

yea the one he got came out of a 03 with a 6.0. Said the one that was to short was out of a 04 2500hd but i guess he didnt say if it was a duramax or not

as long as it has that PN it should be ok
