4l80/AWD confusion
I am mulling over the possibility of a GMT 400 Z-71 4WD and converting to an AWD setup. Naturally there will be an LS motor in front. However the problem begins when I introduce the 4L80 to the equation. I know there are 29 spline outputshafts that are made to convert to a NVG149. I have also seen the 32 spline input some guy named time2kill on another forum made for members. Naturally I would like to have that but am not sure if he still makes them. Also is the NVG149 better than the BW4485 that mates to the 6L80?
I guess what I am asking has anyone mated an AWD unit to their 4L80?

don't get the smaller output shaft. they are weak an known to break.
Get the gear even if you have to send yours to have the conversion done. It is by far the best way to go.

You have to have the input coupler machined on the NV149 to mate to the transmissions 32 spline output shaft on the 4L80E
