Default 4l65e replacement issues

Alright about a month ago the 4l60/65e trans grenaded in my 08 4x4 Sierra. The truck has muffler air intake and mild tune only. It’s my DD. Anyway I ended up picking up a low mileage 09 60/65e for a really good deal. I however did not know of any valvebody/wiring difference until I got it all back together and running. Was throwing a few codes pulled the pan and had shift solenoid A went bad. Got to looking more and noticed that the valve body design lacks the pressure switch manifold that my old trans had...Am I SOL and have to yank the trans again or can I swap valve bodies and the harness? Either way it’s a pain... I’ve been daily driving my 270k fbody again and it’s no fun with kids and bad weather approaching... if someone could give me some info that would be great. It currently starts in second and will stay there. I can command first gear with HPT but will not command any other gear.

You should be able to swap the valve bodies and harness.

And you're right. 09+ did away with the PWM circuit.

Are you sure it was a good/working trans?

As far as I know it’s good to go. A good friend of mine drove the truck it was pulled from before hand. I had done a bunch of looking before making this post and found nothing. Seems like right after I got the wording right and google finally decided to help me out. I guess I need to get some new separator gaskets and see what happens.
