got my truck back together, ordered a kit with a good alto 3-4 clutch pack in it, now it will not shift into 3rd at WOT unless i lift a little. normal driving around town, it shifts perfectly fine. shifts 1-2 fine at WOT, havent tried going 3-4 WOT

i set the 3-4 clearance to the spec called for with the kit, has a billet servo, transgo hd2 kit, and has been tuned

Did you mess with the valve body any?

its the 2-3 WOT shift that it wont make, i didnt pull the valve body apart

thought I might add to this, I replaced the separator plate also with a transgo plate, which some of the holes are smaller than the plate I removed, I drove the truck around today, it seems to be getting worse, although once its in gear it holds like it should. and its temperamental, sometimes taking off from a light it shifts fine, others it will almost freewheel going into 3rd

also the fluid level shows a little over filled with only 8quarts in it, manual shows it should take around 11, but I didnt replace the convertor

after looking around on 3-4 clutch clearance, seems like the sheet that came with the kit on 3-4 clutch clearances may be a little off, i set them up at .040 wet, from what ive seen in my recent research, they need to be closer to .025ish, i believe i have found my issue. Which means it has to come back out, fanfuckingtastic!!

That 3-4 clutch pack is burnt, get a new one before you pull the trans.

its been in there maybe 200 miles, but the way its acting, it wouldnt surprise me if its trashed, what clutch pack is everyone using? its a 300ish whp 5.3, 2wd ecsb sierra, 4600ish lbs
