The 2-4 band wraps around the reverse input drum (which sits on top of the input housing that holds the 3-4 clutch pack). There's an anchor pin that holds one end of the 2-4 band in place while a servo pin pushes the other end inward, thus forcing the band to tighten around that drum. Misalignment can happen. Adjustment seems to require removal of the trans for servicing. Odds are (as previously posted) you have a worn band. Mine did this a couple of months ago, and I've since replaced it with much success. You may want to look at the reverse input drum for wear while in there. There's an Illinois-based sponsor that carries the parts you need. The wrench-turning Yank is real cool to talk too. JFWY, Vince.

If you ride it out, post up when it feels like you're trans is skipping second, and fourth seems non-existent. You'll know for sure that the 2-4 band is toast. I've got a thread showing pictures of a worn band next to a new one. Search the Drivetrain forum for it.

Anyone have any ideas??
I wanted to let ya'll know that it only shifts slow and delayed at WOT, at part throttle it shifts nice and crisp and fast. no problems, except at WOT
