BINGO. Been searching for hours, and that guy on Tech needs to give us a schematic on the relay wiring. From my understanding, you just use the rear vss sensor only, and some how add 2 relays to the current 60e wiring, and the 60e segment will run the 80e trans without a segment swap, and missing with the pcm up under the hood for the iss sensor.

I also read it can even control it better as far as converter locking and unlocking methods as well.

This is the route I am going to go with as well! Hope some sheds some insight.

Let me see if I got this right. Instead of using the vss, I'll now use the ISS and run the wires to pins 22 and 23? Wiring diagrams confuse me

fwiw i had to use both. the plug on the tailshaft and the plug up by the prndl, which is the vss, and wired it to pin 22 and 23.

Thanks man. It would probably make more sense to me if I had my trans sittin in front of me, but I don't so I have no reference. It's driving me in-f'n-sane

you have to change the transmission file calibration for the 4L80E.
Look in the other thread you just started.
