4l60 to 4l80e Yoke Question

I have been doing a ton of research and I haven't been able to find a clear answer. I apologize if this may seem like a dumb question, and I really appreciate your time and suggestions.

I have a 2007 NNBS Silverado Extended cab with a 4.8L motor. I am swapping a 4l80e transmission from a 2006 Silverado 2500. I have everything else needed for the swap, but I'm not sure what yoke I need to make the transmission work with my stock driveshaft. Any help is greatly appreciated!

u need a th400 or 4l80e yoke. U will also need a precision 447 u-joint from napa.

I always order the longest yoke and cut it down if needed. Sometimes the th400 yokes are to short. The ebay 4l80e yokes work great!

Thank you very much brandon6.0 I'm a little nervous about having to cut down the yoke. I know several people have done it and had success, but I have also heard other people say that they didn't have to cut down the yoke.

It depends install the yoke and try the shaft if it bottoms out or doesn't have at least around 1" of movement. cut it shorter to fit. Want hurt nothing. Ive done a few like this without any issues. A chop saw works great and just bevel the edge. no biggy to do.

awesome! Thank you for the help. I will give it a shot. I'm going to order a Precision U Joint (part #447) and a gm factory 4l80e yoke. I will let you know how everything works out. I'm hoping to have the tranny installed by the end of next week.
