Man i sure didnt cause i took the cage off it and threw it away. That makes alot of sense tho. Honestly think that might be the problem. I know the outer bearings are the same but not sure about the inner bearing. I think they were but not 100% sure. The kit that came with it is a motive. The bearings say koyo on the bottom. I didnt know bearings were different sizes tho. That explains alot guys..what bearing do yall recommend. And the shim under the inner bearing is the stock one i pulled off the old pinion

The inner bearing and race are different and must both be replaced when swapping gears!!!

I'm confused.. Did you get rid of all the bearings/races that were with your stock diff and replace them with the new koyo bearings? Or are you trying to mix and match?

New bearings always need the new races. I would replace both races and bearings at this point. Get a brass punch/drift and drive them out. Use the brass punch to drive them back in, don't waste your time with bearing drivers

Also, put the races in the freezer for days before the install and it will help

those two pinion gears aren't the same! Make damn sure they have the same dimensions.

Races aren't hard to install. They just require the right tools.

If you say so.. I rented a kit from local store and it fucked up the race, used a brass punch on a new race and it went in perfect without any damage.

I use aluminum race drivers. Never messed up any races with those.
