Default 2004 Silverado Suspension question?

Hey guys ive had this weird suspension problem for about the last month. Everytime i get on the highway and i go above 60mph my truck feels like its floating around over my chassis. And its not minor ether, everyone who rides in my truck can feel it scares some people when its windy out because then its really swaying everywhere. The truck only has 52k and its driven only in the city never off road. The truck dosent look any lower than usual. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to stop this? Thanks

This is a guess but I think you need new shocks. Have you replaced the stock ones yet?

If LM7 is right, that would suck. U didn't get much life out of em. Have u hauled any heavy loads about a month ago, blew em out, or leaking? Wet spots where u park? Did u get underneath to check stuff out? I say drop it to get rid of sway & then it'll handle like its on rails. W/supporting mods of course. Bottom line: take looksee.

The only suspension mods i have is my 2" lowering shackles which i got about 3 years ago... so i dont think its them. No ive never hauled anything i dont even have a tow package. Yes i have been under the truck to look i thought it was bolts coming loose slowly or something there werent any leaks. Any of you guys have any suggestions on to which brand would be good? I was thinking eibach. Thanks

So u don't replace good parts, go over susp., tires & t.pressure, any obvious stuff. Bounce test. If shocks, I say Edelbrocks. Others will chime in. Depends on ride htg., verify. Cajun runs adjustable Ranchos. I plan to put QA1 on back w/ my Hotchkis 2/4 TVS. Factory 16"s & (handling pkg) shocks f&r now. Stock up front will work, prolly Edelbrocks in front tho. After salt's gone, in go my adjustable QA1s @ rear. Not direct swap(see susp. thread), nor cheap. Only 1/2" rr. shock travel causes me to bounce on a pebble. Nah, just the bumps...Already handles on rails, to improve soon! & test @ strip too.

it will definetely improve the ride and how well the suspension "deals with" bumps in the road and other causes of suspension compression.

hell, it cant hurt
