Default 2004 5.3 4x4 Tahoe automatic transmission to manual transmission

I need help. I'm trying to swap my tahoe from automatic to stick shift. I have no clue what I'm doing or what I need. Please help!!!!

I dont know if its a great idea to do that unless its somthing you really really want as you could build a very strong 4l60e.

After having pulled trailers in a manual truck I wouldn't go back. So much more control. Love the engine braking and granny gear is a gift to get moving.

my second vehicle was an automatic, and even at 17yrs old, i was so bored with it that i'd keep an empty coke bottle in the cup holder & pretend it was a shifter as i drove around.
after that, i said "never again", and that was the last automatic i ever bought.
