Depends on how tall your tires are also...I'd really like to swap out my 3.73's for some 4.10's, but I have a 31" tire which eats up some of the gearing. The 3.73's are real nice on the highway with this setup though

The tires I have now are 28.7" tall but I will be going with a 295/40/20 that comes out to a 29.3".

any interior shots of how you fixed the hole in the floor. what'd you do, just weld a plate in & get a new carpet?

for some odd reason, i'm now contemplating on doing this very swap - except i've also got a 5 speed

Would this swap work in a 1993 4wd rcsb. Thinking about doing an LT swap with AWD.

i think the frames are a little different up front - ain't it something to do with the different suspension setups (coils vs torsion bars)?

Yup should work on any 6 bolt transfer case truck.

After reading up on the subject, I think I may go the AWD route. I've ot a very similar truck as the OP. I want o keep my 3.73's. What year vehicles do I have to look for exactly to find 3.73 AWD front end and it was the Denali and SS trucks that had AWD, right?

What's a ballpark figure on price for the parts needed for the swap?

Oh, can you adapt the AWD transfer case to work with the 4L80E?

Thanks!
