2001 GMC sierra 4L60E?

Can anyone tell me if a 2WD transmission(4L60E) from a 2005 Sierra 1500 will fit directly into a 2001 Sierra 2WD 1500. They both have 4.8's and are extra cabs..
I'm 98% sure mechanically they are the same, I just don't know about the wiring. The 2001 is used with cable throttle body and the 2005 was a used on a Drive-by-wire engine...

The owner put in a corvette servo and I guess he didn't install it right and cracked his transmission case...I have the 05' and I'll sell to him but I just want to make sure it'll fit...:D
