How tough are these trannys?

1 out of every 10 is junk...(gm stat)

i have a 2002 rclb with an 8.1 and the allison 800..i think..bulletproof so far....

i believe the new allison tranny's are 1000 models..

whatever that all means!!

Do you have a tune on that truck? do you know how much TM is running on it?

I have seen Allison transmissions built up to take 1000 rwhp and 1000 rwtq and it cost $5000.

Can they withstand 0 TM and Tow alot of heavy stuff

i doubt it but i know they can handle 360hp and 650 tq as in dmax power stock...

i know that they have a good bit more parasitic loss through the drivetrain than a 4l60e and more than the 4l80e
