07 Saab 97x rear diff. oil change is GM whale sperm required?

Attempting to change the rear diff. oil I think I have the correct fuild.

?1.Like what doe’s top off only mean?

Still have the owners manual?

I think its SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle lube Meeting GM spec 9986115

API spec GL-5

I believe 80W-90 is the front diff.

no the owners manual is not available today.

so this gear oil must be Synthetic stuff I have is regular.

the diff. cover has one extra long bolt I didn't take note of it's location? would you happen to know where it goes? thanks

Is there a bracket for the brake line or emergency cable near by? That's likely where it goes.

I started this diff oil change a couple weeks back, yes I think you are correct about the E brake cable I think I tucked it up out of the way when crawling under vehicle.
I will take a close look if I remember correctly there was a small bracket.

I think the longer bolt wasn't the 12 o'clock but either the 11 or 1 o clock do you know where the longer bolt goe's.
dam I should have clicked a image before disassembly.
Thanks TB

The cable should fall back into place and be close to one of the bolt hole locations.

I crawled under the vehicle didn't see a e-brake cable there did appear to be a small tube connected to each rear wheel right next to the bump stop.

Iv'e reassembled the rear cover however there is one extra long bolt however I didn't take note of where it was located.

been looking for a emergency brake cable that if I remember correctly is attached to the diff. w/ this longer bolt but didn't see the cable.

wish I took a image before disassembly. been searching the net couldn't find much but this attached image aurther wrote it's a trailVoy notice there isn't a E cable attached to diff.

Maybe a bracket for the brake line that runs across the top of axle.
