Default 07 4L60E Mods

Hey guys, new to the forums here, was recomended by a guy at the dealership I purchased my truck at.

I have been reading on this subject for mods for awhile now and still am undecided. I just purcahsed the truck recently. The truck is a 07 NBS 5.3 Extended Cab LTZ 4x4 with 99000 miles. I will be using for my daily and towing, maybe 4000-5000lbs. every now and then. I would like to do whatever I can to upgrade the 4l60e for longevity and towing. Trans works perfect and has no issues what so ever. I would like to do any mods possible without removing the trans from the vehicle. The truck already has a trans cooler added from the factory.

My local dealership gave me recomendations and what i should do.
-Mag-Hytec Deep trans pan
-Corvette 2-4 Servo
-Sonnax 4th/OD Billet Servo
-TransGo-HD2 Kit
-TransGo Seperator Plate 46-PLT-07
-Billet Forward Accumulator Piston

Is there anything you can add/change to this guys. Im not looking for a hard shifting street/strip truck. just daily/towing.

60k mile 4l60e with vette servo, 40k cooler, 3200 stall and tune.

Many many highyway races and mild abuse. Probably had 200+ lbs of nitrous run thru it.

Still ticking. Its hit or miss on how long they last

I will be upgrading the factory cooler also. And the vette servo seems to be a must. Great info guys thanks.

based on what you want, don't use any of the shims in the Transgo kit. I did 2 shims and it was a pretty snappy 1-2.

definitely add a bigger cooler if you're doing it for towing.

If you're doing one accumulator, do both. I did Sonnax pinless accumulators in the tranny I have now. a little tricky to figure out but it works.

My new era tune and vette servo is nasty. I would not want it to shift any harder than it does now. I go wot everyday and 4wd launches all the time.

So far mine is fine but I just ordered a built trans because I want another 100 more wheel and do not wanna be stranded somewhere if it let goes.

Give it a full flush too

I removed 80% of my torque management, I should have just done it all.
