Default 04 rcsb ls2/t56

Found a t-56 and Im having a hard time deciding if should do the swap or not. I have the 4l60e now. Im am not very experienced with manual transmisson, but this ones tempting haha.. Wondering if its to much work and pain to do the swap or maybe just do the 4l80e instead. Or if in the long haul the t56 is worth all the work. My plan is to do the ls2 swap and maybe further down the road some force induction I just want a fun daily driver and hit some races every now and then. Anyways though I would share and see what you think.

Happy new years!!

so long as you're 2WD, the T56 would be a great choice. there's a couple really good writeups floating around the interwebz - at least 1 on here.
if you're wanting a built LS2 later, you may as well get the trans beefed up before you put it in. also, you're gonna need to regear the back end (& may as well throw in a limited slip while it's apart). something around a 4.88 should work decent, but you could get away with 4.30s if you find a M12 from a GTO (it has a little lower gearing). these're round-about numbers and could vary based on your specifics

Yes it is a 2wd. And already thought about them gears, it has the 4:10 gears now. Dont think about building the engine, just looking for a fun street/strip friendly ride.
