03 Sierra Denali clunky shifting

I recently purchased the truck and I've noticed that under light throttle it's very clunky/jerky when it shifts gears. The funny thing is, when I give it a little more throttle or I'm in tow mode pulling my car trailer (maybe more throttle is being applied as well) it seems to shift normally. Does this sound like a transmission tuning issue? Or something else? Thanks!

Does it make a clunk when you shift from drive to reverse or the other way around??

Perhaps a bad u-joint if that is the case. Just throwing an idea out there.

Nope it only happens during light throttle shifts.

Does it do it in all gears or just 1-2?
