Drag radials on stock 17 rims

I am running a 4x4 and need to get a set of radials for the rear. My current tire size is 265/65-17 which I believe is a 30" tire. I am lookong for the tallest tire i can get with I believe is 275/50-17 m&h. I have searched to see what people are running.

Also i have 3:73 gears. I do not plan on installing on the front. Has anyone else done this? I am not looking to drop a ton on tires. It is for one week. I will buy different tires for all 4 next year.

Will a 28 inch rear tire and a 30 inch front cause issues?

I ran those M&H tires are all 4, they are a 28" tire. You can use different sizes front and rear as long as you don't use 4wd. If you do use 4wd with that different of a size you will probably break the transfer case.

I wasn't planning on running 4wd because of the size difference. Unless i find a used set in decent shape

What if i went with a 16 inch rim on the rears? I dont think a 15 inch would fit over the rear brakes

Depends if you have rear drum or disc?

I found a set of 4 mickey 17 inch drags but they are 26 inch. Do you think that is to small. It puts me at 6000 rpms at 116mph in third. I dont expect to do that in the 1/4.

Sounds pretty ideal to me. Especially if you plan on running 4wd

You'll need a retune to fix the shifting and speedo read outs.
