the nt05 is a drag radial , the side wall has flex , this is what you "do not want" on a vehicle that will turn as it will not be stable .

the tires all mentioned are all too small of a rim diameter for the o.p.

probably wants to keep around a 29"-30" diameter tire on a 20 rim .

finding a 22 is really tough, the kdw may suck for what you guys are doing and a tire with a ton of sidewall but on something around a 40 sidewall should hold up better than what we have .

went to another forum where people have experience with the size im after and asked what the best tire they had and they all had nothing but great experience with the bfg in 305/40/22 . not saying you guys are wrong but different tire size's on different vehicles with different use's will have different results.

Ill post my results compared to the toyo's i have now . im sure i wont be dissapointed

Julien , what size do you have now ? what diamter are you trying to keep? this will come into play if you run 1/4 mile for keeping it out of 4th gear.

I have been running the KDW II for almost three years now... the difference was night and day from the stock goodyears... I have not experienced the other tires but these grip far better than anything else I have seen used... One thing I have noticed is that it also depends on how you use the tires. The tire size I use on my truck is a 285/55 20... Even with AWD, the old tires couldn't keep up... these change everything... Launches are much more predictable and straight.

I also use these tires on my BMW 850i. 255/40 18 and 295/35 18 staggered set up. These tire have helped with the grip on this car as well. I used to be able to get the car sideway all the time before, with these tires, the car just hooks... they also eliminated the cars tendency to understeer.

But like everything else, when a vehicle has enough power, no tire can correct for driver error.

I can also say that if you try hard enough, you will get them to spin, and when that happens, these tires are LOUD...

I have 265/40/20's and they are flat. Have had them for 4+ years now with untold burnouts and donuts!!!
Outside diameter doesn't matter so much, we have such tall gears in our trucks that we aren't changing gears every three minutes and I'm guessing the road course will be all done in 2nd gear with a small blip into third. The 1/4 mile, will be what it will be.

So now that they rules have changed...what are you planing on going with? Still KDW? I'm gonna have to order them from China I think...gotta come up with something fast.

Where did you pick up those tires? I'd rather not order a set online while out here in China but I'm also not sure if there's a place local that carries them. I'll have 3-4 days when I get home to get them.
