true limit of walbro 400 intank... and regulator question.

what is the true limit of a single 400 intank? I'm to the point where I'm about to start putting together my fuel system for boost and it's between putting the pump setup together myself and just ordering a lonnie's double pumper.

Also... is it possible to eliminate the regulator from the intank setup and run an external regulator and stainless line setup?

truck is an 08 5.3 silverado non flex fuel

As far as i know with the regulator its the only way to do it. I have a walbro 400 with the hotwire kit and on my stock fuel set up im showing 69-71 psi . It blows right through. Im in the middle of swaping mine. Idk how big you plan to go but ive been reading alot and the walbro can push upwards of 1000 if the injectors ,lines and voltage to the pump is properly speced

what exactly does the hot wire kit do and how does it hook up? I'm not much for wiring, I'm familiar with boosta pumps, not so much a hot wire kit.

You are in the middle of swapping your pump or regulator?

yea, im waiting on more parts. the hotwire kit is easy to install. it hooks up to the back of your alternator then the harness just plugs in. id call them tho and make sure because your trucks a 08 an mines a 04. i plan on doing a full detailed write up but may be a few weeks. still waiting on the injectors to get back. as far as i know stay away for the booster pumps its more stuff to rely on.

what's your setup going to be post pump?

that is essentially exactly what I had in mind, only difference is I was going to run a y on the feed splitting it in to the back of each rail, out of each rail in to the regulator then back to the tank.

yea you could do that too. i just got enough crap around the top of the motor going on keeping it simple haha

very true... once I go boost I will probably want it simple and clean too... glad you said that!
