nbs, e85, stock lines and regulator..
I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 im doing a turbo build on. I plan on running e85 (if i need to?) id like to make 550 to the tire. do I need e85 at that power or should i just stick to 93 octane? i dont want to run meth. if i do go e85 i have 1000cc injectors and a dw400 single pump so i should be good with those. as far as fuel lines go id like to retain factory lines and return rails. with e85 what kind of fuel filter should i run that will connect to factory lines? will a oem size wix fuel filter be fine or is that not fine enough for e85?
Thanks Guys!

I think you will at least need a e85 compatible filter..
Any -6AN size filter should work. All youll need are some fittings with a female end to connect to the filter, and a barb on the other so you can plug it into the stock rubber lines.
You got a return style system? Id say youre testing your luck on those stock lines for e85.. dont quote me though. If youre gonna upgrade the pump, i dont see why you wouldnt upgrade the stock feed while youre already there.

I believe my truck has hard lines on each side of the stock filter, as far as I know the stock lines will be fine for e85 also. I plan on doing a whole new fuel setup next year but for now I’d like to enjoy the truck with a turbo haha.

Stock fuel lines are good to like 800hp maybe more. I’m installing a new 8an feed to the rails then to a boost reference regulator(which you’ll want)and then stock factory feed 3/8 or 6an as the return (mines a returnless truck nnbs so I need one more line to tank) You’ll be good to 500 plus with stock lines but you should change your regulator and rails. Plenty of people in here have used stock rails to fpr but I have Holley rails. Your choice. Places sell rails like 100$ And all the fitting are on amazon or summit. You can get the evil 6an fuel line kit and 8 fittings for 75$ and it’s the black nylon braided. Earl fittings also
