Default Which fuel pump assembly for 03 silverado and twin pumps

I can't really find a clear answer. I'm wanting to buy another fuel pump assembly to start putting together a dual pump setup without having to use my factory setup. I seem atomics thread and it showed 99-02 to have one bucket, 03-06 to have another. But when I go to search for one for my 2003, it looks just like what he had for the 99-02. So basically from what I'm finding is 99-03 all look the same and then 04-06 is different.

Can I put the 04-06 style in my tank? Mainly just need to know if it will fit. I won't be using any of the fittings or sensors on it besides fuel level. Or what should I be looking for so I have a big enough bucket to put two pumps in?

I think you have to swap tanks to use the 04-06 module.

Correct, 04 up is significantly larger and will not fit a 03 back tank.

the year grouping is 99-03 and 04+. 99-03 are return style fuel system and have the fuel regulator on the fuel rails. 04+ are returnless and have the regulator on the fuel hat.

99-03 have the smaller bucket. i was able to squeeze two walbro 450's into the bucket. had to highly modify the bucket to do so , also had to stagger the pumps but they fit. the bottom of the 450's are wider and with two next to each other at the widest they will not fit but i just staggered them and was able to fit them both in the bucket.
