Default Fragola -8 90* PTFE fitting issues

This is in regards to a fuel feed fitting at the top of my 2005 NBS fuel hat.

I've been battling a leaking -8 90* PTFE fitting. It was leaking between the collar and solid 90* tube. Not between the hose and fitting. I figured I screwed up the fitting, so I cut the hose and installed a brand new 90* fitting. It leaked again from the same location. I sprayed WD40 on the inside and outside of the collar. Now it doesn't leak gasoline. I have very little confidence it will stay sealed. Anyone else had this issue with Fragola fittings? Did I do something wrong?

For extra information, at first/when leaky, I lubed the hose, olive, and fitting chamfer when making and installing the hose. I didn't think the high dollar Fragola fittings would give me so much trouble. I had zero issues with the -6 PTFE fittings, so the chances of me being an idiot are slightly reduced. Thanks guys.

Yes actually im having the same issue but with my -12ptfe fragolas. I have two 90s that are leaking around the collar and thru the lock pin hole, if u look in the crack between tube and nut you can see a teflon washer the nut swivels on. Not sure what the problem is but mine are on the suction side of the pump, had a very slow leak since i put fuel in but its only gotten worse over the winter since it sits and the fuel cell puts gravity pressure on both fittings.
I contacted summit and they said fragola only has 90 or 120day warrenty on their fittings and i ordered them long ago so they offered a discount and have all new stuff sitting here to put on.(will be a pain and ill have to drain the cell) Now after reading your post think ill try and find a different brand.
whats crazy is i used fragola everywhere else over a dozen fittings and these 90s are the only ones i cant get to seal properly, suckers are $26 a piece too!!

You have to use a lube when you tighten them, petroleum jelly works well. AN fittings are meant to be tightened with a lubricant.

I put a dab of oil on the threads and flares of all of them, these are the only ones that leak..

Thanks, good to hear I'm not the only one who had trouble. You'd think they would toss a little lube between the collar and fitting to give folks a higher chance of success. I wrote Fragola an email. We'll see what those chowder heads have to say.

Initially, I also lubed the threads and flares, yet it still leaked. After an internal/external bath of WD40, it doesn't leak. Well, at least when I stopped working last night. I suppose Earl's is the next most popular brand to try.

Thanks Jake. After this experience, I'm down to try another brand. I'm a big supporter of buy once, cry once. This was my first time getting a negative result from the expensive guys. Its just weird that I had no issues with the other fitting sizes/shapes. Perhaps there was a problem in the -8 90* fitting department. I'll wait to hear back from Fragola before talking too much trash.
