I have a non flex fuel truck, how hard is it to make it a flex fuel ? can it even be done ? i have a flex fuel L9H engine
in my truck now, running the stock L9H injectors. truck was a 5.3 from the factory. no prob adj the fuel for the bigger engine.

It's easy.

Buy the sensor, buy the pigtail and then wire it into the computer. Needs power, ground and the sensor signal to the computer. Then enable it in the tune, setup the stoich table and anything else you wish. Like power enrichment changes for alcohol, timing adders.

 

Don't i need flex fuel lines and seals ? will my pump and stuff be alright, it was not
rated for flex fuel from the factory.
is this the sensor i need ? i saw this being used.

 

No, you don't. These fuel systems use mostly steel lines from the tank up the engine bay. Ethanol has been in fuel since the early 2000's with E10 and E15 being a standard for the long while now. They have already made the lines and seals able to withstand it.

I've been running E85 for the past 4 years in my stock non flex fuel truck without issue.

Yes, that is the sensor you can use. I use that same one.
