Yeah that sucks.

I am convinced having a fuel starvation issue is what lead to the melting of a piston soon after...and some wonder why I make such a big deal about it.

Not sure why you guys think a tank on E85 last 100 miles

It would definitely suck having to have 1/2+ of a tank to get on it. I'm interested to see how that works gmctrk

Weren't you also running your tank way down ??

Stock48 has posted about starvation issues with 3/4 of a tank and he has the newer tank/bucket. Any stock setup is a compromise, which is why most anyone with a serious setup has gone to a dumped fuel cell.

All the talk about road trips, not running without 1/2 tank is not too signifncant to me. My truck sits in the garage 95% of the time and is only driven short distances. I learned awhile back that DD'ing a modded vehicle was not smart. So now I drive a civic

It still had a several gallons left in it, and it was the returnless style bucket as well. My point is avoid it at all costs.

so basically everyone is in concurrence that to do it right the first time would be to switch over to a dump tank (is that the same as a surge tank?) and that there basically isn't a good way to fit dual 450's in a stock tank or bucket without worry about starvation. Does anyone have any pictures/diagrams of how to do it the right way?
