Default Difference between Flex & Non-Flex fuel

Hey guys,

Component wise. what is the difference? I am swapping intake manifold, injectors and PCM to my non flex Sierra.

Do injector's plug differ?

My car is an 03 with return style and I am swapping the parts of a an 04.

I will be running small cam and full Bolton's wondering if those flex fuel injectors will help to!

Thanks,

on my 02, the plugs differ, my 02 plugs are the same as NNBS.

Regulator is able to return more, rails have stainless liners, injectors are 35lb, pump has more capacity, PCM has alcohol tables in it, truck has alcohol content sensor. prob some other things too

I believe the 04 Flex injectors are Denso 25326903 and the later Delphi 12613412 Flex injectors both have the USCAR/EV6 connectors. I had to get the USCAR to Mini Delphi adapter harnesses when I went with the flex (12613412) injectors. They fit my return gen III rails without the need for spacers.

What part number are your injectors?

Flex (Delphi 12613412) on the left with USCAR/EV6 connector and mini Delphi connector on the right.

I can change the injector plugs easy, also I am running walbro 340lb FP. I just pulled the tune from the flex fuel vehicle and the IFR table is 33.0486lb across the board.

What do u mean by "Regulator can return more"?

Do I really need that alcohol sensor?

I am replacing the intake due to leaks and injectors to be in the safe side when running my cam and mild ported heads. The reason changing PCM because its faulty and require replacement and this flex fuel car is the only available within my area at the junk yard.

without data to support this, the rumor is that the flex fuel regulators flow better, aka "return more" than non flex fuel regulators.

The flex fuel sensor is not required, only needed/wanted if you want to run E85.

You just have to update the calibration for any other mods you make.
