Default BBC swapped 96 W/T

I just picked up the truck and have a few questions on how the fuel system should be setup.
The **** I bought it from appears to have ran a rubber fuel line from the carb, down directly next to the headers and then to the aftermarket fuel pump. I can see what I think are the stock fuel lines that were cut running along the driver side frame rail in the engine bay.
I'm not above doing away with the stock tank and running a fuel cell, but if there's a good enough way to do it with minimal expense then I'd prefer that route.

Also, how similar are the 90-93 454 SS trucks to the 96's?

Fuel lines and tanks ought to be the same. Just use the in-tank fuel pump and regulate it at the carb.
