Anyone have a 07+ gas tank that can help me measure??
I am trying to find out the measurements on a factory gas tank and was curious if anyone had a gas tank laying around they could help me measure?
Looking for measurement from the top of plate to floor of tank?
Also looking for the diameter of the hole the assembly top sits in?
Thanks in advance I am extremely grateful if you can help.

I now see you stated 12.75"s from bottom of tank to top fuel plate.
The 55mm is the diameter of the pumps you were using correct?
The only other measurement I see was the diameter of the top plate to be less than 4"s but nothing exact correct?
Reason I am trying to find these is Aeromotive stated they could make a current drop in system they have for the TBSS work for these trucks if I could provide the measurements for them to R&D. I figured I'd try to help but my work schedule is keeping me from pulling my tank to help for another few weeks.
Thanks for your time I appreciate it

Well the top diameter is tricky since the factory bucket is top hat type design. The hole in the tank depends on the year, 99-03 is right at 4" I think (round number), 04-06 is around 5", and 07+ (not sure when/if it changed next), is also around 5" but a hair larger than 04-06. The bill of the top hat is larger and has the ridges in it to twist and lock into place.

Thats pretty cool...what are they doing for tank venting though? That is an issue if you delete the evap stuff, wasnt addressed in the video.
IMO, I would get a tank from a salvage yard and get a sawzall and cut it 6" on either side of the hole opening and send that piece to them, sending unit and all. Only cut it so its easier to ship. Would take like 5 min with a sawzall.

That's a good question I'll have to check with them on the tank venting
I came to the Forum and asked because the cheapest gas tank I could find anywhere near me was $600 in the junkyard LOL I wish that was an option for me but we no longer have local areas to get parts from I have to get them delivered. I live in a shity place LOL.
