alright, let me set this up. so a friend recently picked up a 2006 1GR-FE toyota tacoma 4.0 v6, 6 speed manual. anyways long story short he wants to turbo it, and his goal is in the area of 500whp. anybody built a 4.0 toyota yet? and if so whats your input? any response is much appreciated!

i think close to 500 is easy idk about over that though, check this guy out

There is a few xrunners running turbos putting over 400 to the wheels. The only problem is there tuning stand alone ecu's are over $1k. There are kits out there. URDUSA.com is a good starting point.
