Man hate to read all the troubles. Keep note ones done package a kit and try to recoupe some coin. R&D is expensive that's for sure. It's cool when someone builds something or tries something different.
I would recommend getting with someone that knows and can tune the system prior to buying a new ecu set up.
There are a lot if computer systems outthere. Switching over you might have to override bypass and just switch out how things work. Not sure if your ac heater controlls go through the factor computer.
Probably going to be somepiggy backing.
It's only money and you never know when it's gone.
Good luck.

i probably will switch to chevy if this last ditch effort fizzles out. cool thing is that my foose speedster 6's will fit perfectly on a chevy and the chevy aftermarket is 100,000 times better than what the nissan titan guys have.. if i would've dumped 30k into a chevy i'd have a high 9 to low 10 second truck by now..

If you are really that crazy about not trusting shops, bring a rc chevy to me, Ill install whatever motor you want and an 80e. Ive worked on many members trucks and have done the swap on my own personal truck. It is NOT hard at all, everything works great. Just look at what stock48 has done with rcsb 4wd, he has a turbo kit, forged 370 and an 80e basically and is running mid 9s and over 1000rwhp. You are retarded if you continue your quest with that titan. Its cool and all but if you really want to go fast and keep the cost anywhere near sane an import isnt going to get it done. GM vehicles have the most aftermarket support of any manufacturer on the planet for a reason.
I wont screw you, your truck wont get messed up, and I can swap everything in a weekend and do it for much cheaper than these shops are screwing you for. I hate to see you give up on speed all together but spending that much money to net very little gain is retarded.

lol they moved my thread.. guess im not cool enough to hang out with the domestic men.. guess i'll just post stuff to my self in the foreign area..
i'll keep you in mind if i do end up getting a silverado, any year in particular?? i know for the titan 07' hands down is the beast of all the year and you can still install a detroit locker onto.. 08+ you can't modify the rear end yet..
i really love the look of the 01-04ish silverados, cause they had a more aerodynamic looking front end, the new ones seem to boxy to me..

At least get a 2002+ the 2001 and earlier were the iron heads and longer crank. I had issues with that when I started. Bought the wrong yr motor.
5.3 to 6.0 swap took me less than a weekend. I swapped the computer with another OEM computer tuned and mailed to me and drove it around.
It's so easy you wonder if you didn’t do it right lol. The 80E swap requires you to run ONE extra wire to the computer for an additional speed sensor, different driveshaft length, and modify the trans cross member with a blowtorch (Or buy on already modified) then swap computers with one programmed for a 6.0/4L80E and drive it around.
I probably have less than $5K in the engine, trans, tuning and misc stuff. I did all the labor myself.
Do it!

Just to clarify he is talking about goign with a newer motor, the older 6.0s had shitty heads and the wrong crank for a 60e unless you wanted to go straight to an 80e which then that motor would work but I still wouldnt use it due to the crappy heads and mostly likely high mileage of the motor.
