yep....three 80e's for me so far.
get a 2006+ from the salvage yard for say 800...throw a hd2 shift kit in it and call it a day...will last about a year or more.

Thats a retarded excuse. You can swap a 6.0 in whenver you want, and its not like the truck youre going to have is going to have a warranty on it for long anyway.

Will also have to have a adapter plate made, custom driveshaft, and some sort of standalone controller for the trans with paddle shifters. ...

.. have you had to buy 12k of transmissions lately for them to only get blown up in under 10mins.
i guess if thier is any kind of brightside to all this madness at least i can work unlimited overtime at my job@ Bell Helicopter.. think it'll take me another 7-9 months to save up 7k for the 4L80E, controller, adapter, and then will need another 6-8k for a motec standalone ecu cause i know once my ecu cant talk to the tcm of my trans it'll probably self destruct the truck, and im not joking.. damn ecu is the devil in this damn thing..[/QUOTE]

Let's start w/. this, that's gotta be the fastest import truck, or close to it.

$25K just for 5 trannies in 8 mos. You married? Cause I'm surprised she hasn't killed u if u are. So the built trannies are lasting 10 min. If u went thru 5 that fast, after 50 minutes, whatdaya been doing the last 7 1/2 months? j/k

You'd get a 6.0L RC in a heartbeat? Clever play on words.
It's not happening, GM will not do it. Just get a 5.3, swap to 6L. Go from there.

Seriously now, u spent $25K on trannies & plan to spend $7K fot tranny setup & $6-8 more for standalone Motec. I put all those #'s together for a reason.
That's $40K in all, enuff to buy a RCSB, swap to a 6L, throw in a 80E if ya wanted, & run faster than you are now. I honestly believe that, even tho I can appreciate what you've done to your ride thus far.

It'll be way easier to go faster for less. At least less headaches. In either instance, u aren't likely to find a lifetime warranty on any trans by anybody, in any truck, import or U.S.

Call FLT, get 1 of their 80E's & put in the truck u choose. They've got my vote 100%!

not a retarded excuse in the past year i have seen some mechanics "pride" in thier work and i whether not chance some ******* who doesnt care bout my truck back it into a floor lift then claim the damage was already there.. im sick of being screwed by every performance shop i go to.. the trans shop in austin crushed my roof and did over 2k in damages and claims it was already there. i just dont trust mechanics anymore to tell you the truth. And warranty or not i whether have piece of mind the trans/engine/ecu all worked together from the factory before buying it.. I don't think a 5.3L motor would serve me well considering i already have a 5.6L also to buy it from the factory with a 6.0l motor would probably cost a lot less.

also i've wasted 12k on 3 transmissions the 2 trans shops made me pay for they ate the labor and parts so far on 2 of them.. the other 13k was for my aeromotive fuel system and turbo kit and installation

You're going to need a Nissan engineer to make the combo work properly.
