Toyota still working out the bugs...

Thats what happens when you build a REAL FULLSIZE. I still thinks its a good truck. It just shows what years of building fullsize are about. And they want to jump into the HD would as well I think they should wait a few years.

I dont think its a big deal, hows that GM tap working out for yall? And the 10 bolt rear? and the 4L60e's? and the...I think you get my point...:engarde::D

I agree that its not a big deal about the TQ converter. but it is a big deal when you just payed 40000 + for a new truck and this crap is happening. also, i would say that 99% of the piston slap does not affect drive ability one bit, the stock 10 bolt with the G80 works dam good if your not throwing all kinds of power to it and not being retarded off road or at the track. Id like to see how well you keep up with me off road with your clutch lsd... and as far as the 4l60 goes, mine hasn't slipped one bit and im at 90k miles.

Overall, there are 100 times more half ton chevys out there compared to Toyota half tons. So wouldn't it make sense that there would be 100 times more complaints? Vehicles are built by humans, they aren't gonna be perfect. yes that goes for Toyota as well. give it time...

Simple point is, all new designs go through some growing pains. Id say Toyota is doing pretty good thus far.

What kinda MPG are you getting? I really like the styling of the RC Tundra..

Depends on how nice I am to it. If I romp on it pretty hard, I get like 15-16mpg. If Im nice to it Im seeing about 18mpg. All those are about 90% city/10% on the road/highway.

ummm...Toyota doesn't even have LSDs, they use 3 open diffs (front, rear, transfercase) and electronic traction control to brake each wheel and act like a LSD/Locker, you should see them in the florida sand and mud, i've seen a few at the mud pit stuck where my 4x4 walked thru in 4x2 with a factory locker and MTs (would better tires help them who knows). I'd be interested to see how the traction control likes controling nice heavy mud terrain tire.

My 2wd has a mechanical lsd in the rear, but yes, it does have all the traction control electronics also, which I turn off everytime i drive it.
