The engine and trans will hold up fine and pull ok, but you would probably be happier with a diesel for the pulling power, thats a big hunk of metal to be pullin around with a gas motor in a big truck

I have 143K on my 5.4 expedition and it has only given me one problem and that was the #7 coil pack and it was cause just by the location of the coil. That was at 80,000 miles. They told me FOrd had moved it so other than that, you should be good to go. 104,000 miles ain't nothing no more. If is is clean then they were highway miles most likely and what is that running 2000 rpm at 70 75 on the interstate. If you like it, buy it, remember everyone is jacking up their warranties to 100,000 now. You should be ok.

i have 70,000 on my f-150 5.4 2004 1/2 and i drive it hard everywere, all the time and i havent had anything brake yet but i do maintain it like ford recommends and get 18 mpg the way i drive

I had the 04 f-250 with the 5.4 and it was great except for the gas bill it had just too much truck for the engine and you want to pull another car with it i would go diesel. Just my 2 cents. on the other hand if you get that truck and want to pull the car i would consider a supercharger or something along that line.

Ok so your geting 10k for your (GM) Truck and having to pay 15k for the new one with the trade in right? That means your paying 25k for a high milage gas ford? I would pull out the strong hand(the pimp hand) for that salesmen! You could get one hell of a used D-Max for that price!!! Sell your colorado out right and look on e-bay to get a good idea. KBB doesnt tell you **** about how a car is going to sell. Expecially now that gas prices are so damn high. I have got 2k more out of a stock car then what KBB said it was worth. Also I have found some good deals on AutoTrader.com
