Ok so i need to get a straight answer. what's up with these Cam Phaser's on the 5.4L 3v Triton's? My 5.4 keeps making a loud ticking noise around 1,000 - 1,300 RPM's, but only once the truck is up to normal operating temperature. Aside from the ticking noise at 1,000-1,300 RPM's it also idles super low, again only when its at normal operating temperature.. (around 600rpm)

The noise is driving me crazy!!

Also, what exactly goes bad in/with the cam phaser?
