would you drive your truck without a tune?

I'm in the process of trying to button up my Roush supercharger install. The shop to tune it is about 35 miles away. Is it safe to drive the truck to the tuning shop if I drive it gently, stay out of boost, for those 35 miles? I could always put it on a uhaul dolly but wanted to avoid that hassle. Thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

Thanks.

Stay out of boost and take it very easy.

That is the key question, if you put larger injectors in it then It has to be tuned before doing anything. If the injectors are not changed then if you drive it easy and stay out of boost, I mean NO playing around it should be fine.

As long as your injectors are stock you can drive it safely out of boost to the shop.

Is this a positive displacement supercharger? I'm assuming it is. You might have trouble maintaining an idle with the stock tune.

Thanks guys. Sounds like I might have to trailer it. Its a TVS 1900 Eaton supercharger with larger injectors.

If you have an extra PCM he might load a base tune on it to get you to the shop.

+1 on loading a base tune for the s/c and injectors on an extra PCM. That's what I did when I swapped to 75# injectors in my driveway and before that when Tootall and I installed my s/c.
