mine does this i am running a old ls1 cross over tube there are no steam pockets it ran fine since winter .

new motor is here and torn down , will post pics of new rods tomorrow but yes they are different. one problem i didnt anticipate is this block will need a different arp head kit the old one had the two short bolts this one uses all long, sucks cause i already ordered and everything from texas speed today that i thought i need and its already shipped. wonder if i can just use the short bolts or buy the two long bolts from arp lol

When it's time it's time. Bent rod. Just abuse of a part that was never designed to take that much power. Goes to show with a good tune just how far the ls stuff can go. Is that heat blueing on the rod just above big end. Or just the angle of pic?
Also if you measured the depth in the cylinder you could figure out what your final compression was.

just the angle there was no heat marks. yeah the tune was done by one of the best in the world. tuned by frost, steve

Frost is one of the few I would trust to tune my own stuff if I didn't.
