I haven't been below 20psi in a long time, now 24 is up there. I've been 21-22 and 50 nitrous on top over 15-20 times. Your rods being bent isn't cool though.

Any case good job on really putting down some awesome numbers before she went. Hope to see the next one go even further!

There is no 4.8 that uses LS2 rods...3.27 vs 3.62 stroke

then why are they saying the 05-06 have them? are they perhaps just stronger rods? also been thinking about what might have made my pistons break, maybe the rods got bent enough to side load or stress the piston wrist pin location enough to just shatter them and they got chewed up while i was coasting cause i was moving pretty good when it happened, they blew up at the 1.8th mile and i still coasted to a 10.5 at 95

yeah but all the other cylinders and plugs look great, and if it was gonna pop from the octane and meth it shoulda happened 50 passes and street runs ago, **** one day a month or two ago i raced a 1000 cc gsxr and my wastegate wasnt hooked up and i was at 24psi for the run and nothing happened.

Hmm I didn't think of that. I have a 5.3 and was just thinking 5.3. Forgot he said 4.8 lol

Hmm I didn't think of that. I have a 5.3 and was just thinking 5.3. Forgot he said 4.8 lol

4.8 rod is the same all the way through. 05+ is when they changed to the LS2 rod in all the 3.622 stroke engines. Either way if I was going to push a motor real hard I think Id rather have the better rod angle of the 4.8 than the stronger LS2 rods of the longer stroke motors.
