Default Working on Turbo kit.. need advice on size/brand of WG

WG sizing time.. Im running an 07 sierra with a 4.8 and automatic. 3.73 gears and stock tires.. making my own turbo kit.. front mount with an intercooler and an HX55 holset turbo, plan to run 8-10 psi. So far i have 0 dollars in all of the kit, building it all to save a lot of money.

I need advice on the sizing and brand of the wastegate.. this is the only piece of the kit i will have to buy.. other than a tune.. which i can hopefully do myself..

I may switch to a 5.3 that i have in the garage in the future.. so keeping that in mind and my setup what would you all suggest..

Synapse engineering was incredibly helpful with explaining what makes their synchronic unique. I am working their 50mm wastegate and their diverter valve into my build.

JGS and Tial are solid brands. I have a JGS and like it.

Tial has been around for a long time. If a 5.3 is all your considering, a 38mm would be all you need. If you want to allow for some growing room, go with the 44mm

KB just sent a PM saying 40mm JGS

He knows what the hell he's talking about seems like so im going to go with what he says..

If anything a 44 would allow room for a 6.0 should one fall out of the sky for me.. (like the 5.3 did)

^^^
was going to say the 40mm WG myself! That's what kyle set me up with for my MP70 and 5.3. Also gonna run the 50mm BO.

Check Foose04's build before he stepped up his turbo size, think thats what he was running on his 4.8L at 15psi.

04+ Z06 cam I hear is a good budget turbo cam. Again, check Foose04's build I believe this is what he used as well.
