Default Wires/tubes through the firewall?

Is the firewall on the drivers side next to the brake booster the only place to route wires and vacuum tubes? I'm wiring up my gauges, wideband, and boost controller and have a LOT of wires and a tube to get through the firewall. The stock grommet is a PITA to get to and impossible to get anything through.

Little WD40 on the wires and they fit through the stock grommet pretty easily.

Theres a dimple and a knock out in the firewall pad for stuff to go through, I drilled the dimple and used a new grommet appropriately sized, just below the brake booster. Routed everything through the fuse box loom so it is invisible under the hood.
