Default will a 31x12x3 intercooler fit behind grill?
Looking at making my own intercooler setup using a ebay universal kit. Does anybody have one of this size behind there grill? If so how much did you have to cut to get it to fit?

Not in an 02 unless you cut the core support out and replace it with the intercooler. The intercooler will have to be welded in and become the core support for the hood latch and everything. It will not fit between the factory support and the grill shell.

03 + on all the room you need for intercooler ftw...

Dangg, would that fit in between the frame rails and not hang below the bumper? What size do you put down in the frame rails?

I use a 27x12x3. It fits without cutting and comes right to the bottom of the plastic valance.

That's to bad it won't fit. I'll be stuffing a 31X12X4 Behind my grill, but I guess since mine is a 06 I have a lil more room.

Cool, do you use 2.5 or 3 inch inlet/outlets? Im trying to keep costs down because idk how long the trans is going to hold so im planning to build that soon to lol
