Yes, but from what I read I thought that the difference in what's in the pump labeled E85 was outside my computer's ability to retard the timing safely.

You're right, I am guilty of spreading internet hear-say.

dont think i fully understand what ur trying to say, just like in any tune when u get less octane than what its tuned for computer will take take timing away if knock is present. but the main good thing about e85 and its high octane is its resistance to knock.. as long as you pay attention to your tune(esp if your running it to the max) and know when they change blends(season change) i dont see how e85 could be anymore dangerous than a 93+meth tune.. just my2cents

also if your really into self tunning you can buy the gm sensor that detects changes in the octane its self and adjusts the ecm accordingly(comes on the flexfuel stuff), so its seemless. only prob is its like $600 if i rem right.

You would need a FlexFuel ecm, I'm pretty darn sure.

OK, so you need bigger injectors and pump. I have 75lb(781cc) injectors and a Walbro 255 pump on my setup. I also have the Magnavolt to help out also. Does it take special injectors and pump for the E85? I know it would take some tuning, what else?
