Default Who has a 31x12x3" intercooler mounted behind the bumper

I picked up a cxracing 31x12x3 intercooler and was wondering who has one mounted in the bumper area. What has to be modified? And pics would be nice.

I think you're going to have to cut your frame rails. The one that I have fits nicely in between the rails but is only 27" wide I think.

Yes you will have too with a 31, you have to notch the front bumper supports to get it to fit.

Thanks for the pics. How do you remove the bumper? Mine is the Denali bumper

Remove the grill. Should be four bolts behind the bumper and then 2 bolts on each bumper support on the back at the wheel area. Just look visually, it's nothing complicated. They're all 15mm bolts IIRC

What do you use to notch the frame? I've been using my dremel with cutoff wheel and its been a huge pita.

A torch, or a 4" angle grinder with a cutting wheel. A standard cutoff wheel will take forever.

I used my 4.5" die grinder and welded a support bar on the bottom to the frame
