I tried every other oil under the sun but they all broke down within 500 miles or so due to the heat (from not having an oil cooler). The 20w50 didnt break down and supposedly the higher zinc content is beneficial.
I run this in my Stroker as well. Only oil that lasts for 3,000 miles.

I run rotella 15w40 in the summer and T6 5w40 in the winter, but then again most of you guys dont have to deal with real cold weather. I always heard the hype about switching to and from synthetic and Ive had no issues

Yes it pours like honey, I use the Lucas synthetic tho. It pours more like regular oil. I have been using it ever since the motor came out of the crate. And I’ve had my motor apart plenty of times for upgrades. Still looks like new inside. And when the Lucas is mixed properly it does it’s job and clings to the parts.

I run 10w-40, but it all comes down to your engine clearances. My motor isn’t stock.

Rotella T6 5w-40 in my wore out 5.3.

Rotella T6 has a great oil analysis compared to other synthetics. Do a quick google search and you'll see
