I just took my truck to the track this past weekend, a 1/8th mile. I'm running just the stock 5.3L w/ 60# injectors and a front mount MP70 @ 7psi

I ran a 9.98@75mph as my best run (1/8th mile), which using a conversion table to get a rough estimate- it is showing I would be running a 15.5 in the 1/4 mile

I was hoping for at least 14's (low 9's in the 1/8th mile), 15.5 seems like a stock Silverado could run that lol

 

are you running street tires and 20" rims?

 

What gears are you running?

 

7.82 at 88.39 in the 1/8th with a 1.77 60 ft.

In the 1/4 it was 12.37 at 104.87

 

Something is off. Get your tuner some logs to see if it's in the tune. I had a melted spark plug wire once and couldn't notice it cause truck still made good power but once it was fixed it was night and day.

 

ya, somethings gotta be off. i went to the track this past friday night for a test and tune, and with my headers, muffler, intake, i went 15.12 at 90.2 lol.

 

thank god you guys think something is off- I was feeling pretty depressed for spending the $$ and not seeing great improvements

Nelson did my tuning (mail order tune), maybe I need to get him to tune it in person?

yeah, I don't have any traction issues though. The main problem I see is that for the first few seconds, I'm not producing any power until the turbo kicks in -almost like it bogs down, just doesn't seem to have any power
