What stall converter for turbo
 

I have a 2001 z71 single cab with a 6.0 with isky triple 12 cam ported heads 373 gears gota s480 t6 turbo on e85 planning on about 800hp I want the yank triple disk converter. I'm going to be launching in 4 hi also but I don't know which stall to get. 2800 3400 or 3600. Any thoughts? Thanks

With that much power I'd lean toward the 2800 over the 3200.

Check my signature. Almost same goal and this is what yank recommended. It runs great. I think 2800 will be little bit low but you have 6.0L and I have 5.7L.:D

As tight as possible will be the fastest, but will spool slightly slower than a looser one.

I'd go 2800 cause It will probably run more towards 3000 depending how much power you're making.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm just wondering if 2800 will be enough to spool the turbo up decently quick. No converter expert by no means so thanks for your input

I'd go with the 3200.

Same. I think the 80mm will want some rpm to get going. I personally like a tight converter but that is up to the user. If it were me I'd go with a 258mm 3200

3200 all day every day.
