Default What is the smallest oil fill cap

I am putting my motor and turbo back into my truck. I HAD been running my oil fill valve cover on the drivers side because my turbo was to close to the full cap to take it on and off.

Has anyone ran into this issue with a s480 turbo and the Kb pipes? As I put the turbo back on my truck last night I decided I didn't want to fill my oil in the back anymore. So I cut up a stock fill cap. And now I can use that. It just looks like ****.

Has any one found a small billet or plastic cap that works?

Yep, just search ebay for billet ls1 cap, it screws directly onto the valve cover. I had a plastic one but it melted, so get a metal one.

It has to have a small ring around it. I tried the regular fill cap. Ended up trimming it down to about the same diameter as the piece that goes into the cover. I did manage to get my #8an adapter in there. I am concidering cutting off the #8 nipple and putting a plug into it and painting it.

The diameter is almost the same as the (not going to say it ) lower section.

There is too much material there. That would be the same size as the stock cap. This is what I did to a stock cap to make it fit.

We all want it to be bigger! The turbo I mean!

The damn turbo Blanket is just about fried too! So it is super thin. so that is not the problem.

Now that I think about it I think I used a blank t4/t6 flange as a spacer of sorts to move it away from the engine 1/2" and just let the metal cap barely touch the blanket.

Why can't you just put that valve cover on the passenger side?

Or is that going to change how everything vents??
