No sense in buying a turbo kit if your not going to be able to enjoy at least half of it's potential. If you only wanted to add 100hp, cam and supporting mods would get you there and not touch your fuel system. But I would skip all that stuff too and go turbo.Wish I would have never spent the money on the lq9-t56 and kept my 4.8 and added boost.

I'm on stock flex pump and inj and maxed out injectors at 8 psi. My tuner NEW ERA PERFORMACE stands behind these pumps. I plan on keeping it to reach my 500 wheel goal. Injectors will have to be bought though

I have a Bone stock truck besides the kit and tune

I would disagree. My truck has the stock cam and stock exhaust with turbo kit, boost controller, methanol injection, and it will stomp the guts out of any head and cam combo. It still drives like stock too, no bucking or surging or smelly exhaust. You can make a stock truck run pretty hard with a turbo kit and basically everything else stock, Makes for a great daily driver without sacrificing anyhting in drive ability.

I'm on the stock pump, lines and rail. Just have big injectors and I'm at 560 to the wheels with 72% duty cycle

Now we're talkin!

I suppose when we go to tune the truck we will find out the limits of the fuel system and take it down a notch from there.

still saving for the turbo kit though! its gotta be on before the race season. and its gotta be a quicker truck than my 14.0 Colorado rcsb inline 5 lol. goal this summer is 13.0 in the Sierra.

Yeah and your not on a stock fuel system either are you? That was my point...stock fuel pump isnt a factor on the nnbs truck but the injectors are. i guess you could spray enough meth to bandaid them to a point.

Injectors don't seem like such a pain to swap out as much as the fuel pump is?

More examples of the stock flex fuel pump working wonders and making some decent power!
