Alright guys. I have an 11 Sierra with front mount turbo. My problem is that it's way to loud. The down pipe runs right off the turbo in front of the engine and dumps there. What muffler can I run without it killing boost

 

I ran a 4" magnaflow diesel exhaust on mine and it was all the way out the back and quiet. I had a cutout on it for when I wanted to open it up but I really never did. You could also go with a 5" option as well.

 

Yea a dump off the downpipe under the hood must be absurd...

 

My wife wants a divorce because of the absurd nascar affect. Hell I can barely hear the turbo

 

a 4" exhaust system with a 4" diesel mufler and a tail pipe all the way to the back will make it very reasonable and it shouldnt hurt performance too much.

 

You can put any strait through muffler/exhaust of decent size on it and quite it down. just turn up the boost a pound if you lose any little power, will more then make up for it and way cheaper and easier then a divorce!!

 

Yeah like mentioned a diesel muffler works well. I run a diamond eye duramax catback on my 2500hd and it bolted right up. It might need a little bit of modding to fit on a half ton
